A: Yes, all additions, new construction, or additions to garages or outbuildings require approval from the trustees. Additions and garages must be made of brick and match the architecture of the home.

A: No. Trustee approval and permits are not needed for a driveway replacement. However, the sidewalk and driveway apron are subdivision property and require trustee approvals. All sidewalk and driveway aprons are required to be finished in exposed aggregate to match the subdivision color. Please click here to see the color.
A: Yes. New or replacement fence require both trustee approval and a permit from University City before they may be erected. Fencing may not be erected in front of your front building line.

Q: What do I do if my street light is out?
A: All of the street lights in the neighborhood are owned by Ameren and each has a tag near the top of the pole with an identification number on it. Report any non-working street lights directly to Ameren:

Q: Do I need trustee approval to install a sprinkler system?
A: No.
Q: Can I trim or cut down the trees in the tree lawn between the sidewalk and street?
A: No. All trees in the tree lawn are subdivsion owned trees and may not be trimmed or cut down. If you need a tree trimmed or you have other issues, please click this link.
Q: Do I need trustee approval to renovate the interior of my house (kitchens, bathrooms, etc)?
A: No. Interior renovations that do not alter the exterior of the house do not require trustee approval. Building and construction permits may be required from University City.
Q: Can I put a storage POD or a dumpster on the street?

Q: When can I rake my leaves to the street?
A: Leaves may be raked to the curb twice a year. University City makes one leaf pickup in the spring (usually March) and two leaf pickups in the fall (November). The leaf pickup schedule can be found here. Leaves may not be raked to the street outside of the designated pickup times and the city may issues citations for piles of leaves left in the street after the last pickup. Leaves and other yard waste may be placed in yard waste bags at the curb on trash day year round.
